SELECT LEAGUE "PLAY UP" SCENARIO:

Any player who would like to tryout for an age group older than their actual grade must selected for the A team for the older age group in order to "play up". For instance a 5th grade player who would like to tryout for the 6th grade A team may do so but cannot be selected to play on the 6th grade B team. This rule does not apply to 4th grader wishing to play on a 5th grade select team. They are eligible to be selected to either the A or the B team. However,  the next year when they are in the 5th grade the normal rules will apply.
